We are looking for people who have the passion to make a difference in the lives of others.
A Corner Shower and Laundry volunteer needs to be reliable, dedicated, and full of kindness. Volunteers are needed between the hours of 7 am-12 pm. Shifts can be broken down into 2- to 4-hour blocks, whatever time you can give. A volunteer works through the guidance of the associate staff. The responsibilities could include assisting with the sign-in and flow of guests, cleaning showers, assisting with washing, drying, and folding clothes, or labeling guests’ clothing bags.
Please arrive by 7am to get a tour and instructions on operations before we open to guests (our hours of operation are 8am to 11am).
PARKING & ENTRY: Please find parking on Trumbull Street or the parking lot of St. Peter's located behind the church off of Trumbull Street. You can enter through the red door located in the back of the building, just off of the parking lot. Then come down the stairs and someone from Manna Meal (Soup Kitchen) can help you find our facility. Please inform one of the staff that you are a volunteer for Corner Shower and Laundry.
DRESS CODE: Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers that you can clean in.
